I'm a writer. I write. A lot. Sometimes the things I write don't make sense, but that's what rewrites are for. That is also what this blog is for. The writing, I mean. And the talking about the writing--and probably no small amount of whining about the writing. You have been warned.

I'm also a twenty-something college graduate who lives with her grandparents (first person to sneer about millennials can drop off a cliff with my compliments). I do this not because I particularly want to (though I am broke and the job market does suck--though it's getting better), but because my grandmother has Alzheimer's and they both needed some extra help...and because my mother asked me to, because she couldn't.

So here I am. I live in the land of rain and plaid and coffee, where our main exports are protohipsters, Leatherman multitools, Columbia Sportswear, and Nike. We also import neohipsters, which isn't really superior to the previous version, so I'm not really approving of that software update. Or all the extra traffic. Oy.

A-A-Anyway.

This year (because it's already 2015 in my brain), I will be signing up for getyourwordsout, which is the purpose of this blog. I needed a place to keep my writing, my errant thoughts regarding the writing, and someplace that I absolutely, 100% will not clutter up with fandom, political musings, etc. (If you're at all curious about that, it can be found at flyingleaps.tumblr.com).
